Music-Based Intervention

Music is found all around us, from the rhythm of steps to the melodies of conversation. We can utilize sounds and songs to practice and train everyday skills: focus, socialization, acquisition, retention, and more.

Those within the Autism Spectrum and/or live with intellectual impairments may find benefits from this program: increasing concentration over a longer period of time, practicing socialization and conversational skills, and having fun while doing it!

Our Services

Concentration and Focus

Our time blocks are broken up into 20-30 minute activities, allowing for students to concentrate on a task for a longer period of time without burning out.

Socialization

We utilize techniques to train the students to converse and socialize with the instructors. By encouraging the student to verbalize his wants and needs, they are able to practice speaking their thoughts in a coherent manner.

Acquisition and Retention

Our activities test the students’ abilities to acquire new information and retain it for a prolonged period of time: whether a couple minutes later or a couple days later.
